“I attended Canton High School five years ago. I thoroughly enjoyed high school, but I think college was much better suited for me.
“After I finished graduate school, I started working at GroupM this year, a media investment company. I do financing for the marketing of movies. I really enjoy my job. I do feel like going into business was suited for me, and it’s really interesting to see the advertisements that I helped work with on TV.
“I got my job at GroupM through family connections. My mom knew the founder of the company who is still on the board, although she no longer works there. I was able to interview there and gained the position.
“I think my past internships really helped me to prepare for a bigger job like this. I also was able to earn my MBA at Marist College. I also attended Marist for my undergraduate education, so I was feeling prepared.
“At GroupM, I invest in advertising spaces for Universal studios. My favorite project I’ve done with GroupM would most likely be the movie, Wicked. It was the first bigger project I worked on and Wicked was hugely successful and popular. It was very cool to know I was involved, even if it was at a smaller level.”
