Good afternoon CHS families!
Notes from the Principal:
In spite of being pushed back by a day due to the winter weather, exams appeared to go well and we are now full-swing into the second semester. It is amazing how quickly this year is passing by!
As the second marking period has come to an end, report cards will be distributed via email next Wednesday afternoon. Please use this opportunity to celebrate your child’s accomplishments as well as to discuss areas of concern. As always, if you have questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher or school counselor.
The course registration process for students will begin next week as well. All students have been given information about this process. Specific information, directions and tutorials for registration will be sent out to parents and students in a separate email on Monday, January 30th.
The weather hasn’t held back our Indoor Track and Field athletes as this week several school records were broken! Check out our website for a wonderful exposé highlighting their accomplishments written by Coach O’Donnell.

Music News
Prisms Through Time is here! Our students have been preparing for the upcoming February 4th show to be held in the auditorium at 7:30pm. Tickets are available from Mr. Mastrioanni or in the CHS office. Adults are $10, Students and Seniors are $8. This show is a project led by seniors from beginning to end, from everything from the background lighting to the writing of original scores, and it is always incredible! Mark your calendar because you won’t want to miss it.
The Arrow is looking for student help!
The Arrow, Canton High School’s news, arts & literary magazine is now online at cantonjournal.org, and there are so many ways students can get involved. Whether they are interested in journalism and photojournalism, creative writing, art, or photography, we’d love to have them contribute to the publication, either as regular staff or a freelancer. The Arrow and Creative Writing Clubs meet on Thursdays at 2:30 in room 214.
