Notes from the Principal
We hope you can make it to our Prisms Through Time show on Saturday! This is a wonderful show that displays the vast talent of our music students, and is something you will want to make time for! The show is held in the auditorium at7:30pm, and tickets will be available at the door. Adults are $10, Students and Seniors are $8.
As the 3rd quarter begins, two important reminders need to be shared with families.
First, it is already time to register for classes for the 2017-18 school year. You should have received detailed correspondence this week with all of the information, but for your convenience we have also posted the information on the CHS website. Note all registrations must be complete by February 10th.
In addition, if your student has received an incomplete in a specific class on their Quarter 2 report card, this incomplete should be resolved by the end of the Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Students should see their teacher if they have questions.
Student Activities
Thirty-one CHS students from grades 10 and 11 participated in an overnight trip for Model UN at Yale last weekend. The students debated issues ranging from the use of biological and chemical weapon, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, women’s reproductive rights, the use of military drones, and many other issues and we are extremely proud of their performance. For more information and pictures, check out our website.
Mu Alpha Theta, the Math Honor Society, is selling chances to win a TI-84 plus graphing calculator. Just guess the number of Valentine’s Day candies in the container and the calculator could be yours if you have the closest guess. Second prize is the jar of candy. Guesses are $1 for one or $5 for 7. Guesses can be purchased during lunches starting next week or by stopping by the math office. The jar will also be circulated to all math classrooms. Drawing is February 28. Good luck!
The SEARCH Environmental Club along with CHS students, teachers, and friends participated in the first ever Winter Walk on Saturday, January 28th. The SEARCH Club is always looking for new members! For more information and pictures, check out our website.

The Arrow is looking for student help!

Whether they are interested in journalism and photojournalism, creative writing, art, or photography, we’d love to have them contribute to the publication, either as regular staff or a freelancer. The Arrow and Creative Writing Clubs meet on Thursdays at 2:30 in room 214.
