The Force is with The Last Jedi

Just like the other movies within the Star Wars franchise, Star Wars: The Last Jedi is a must see.
Not only does it have amazing scenery and effects, but it recalls the old movies by bringing back old characters that have, and had, major roles. One of the reasons the reboots and sequels are so popular is because of the original characters and actors coming back to make their iconic appearance.
Mark Hamill makes a major role appearance as his famous character, Luke Skywalker, and acts alongside the dearly missed Carrie Fisher, who portrays Luke’s sister, Princess Leia Organa. The two on screen siblings are a part of the Resistance, an organization that rebels against the First Order to restore peace within the galaxy.
The First Order is an organization attempting to take over the galaxy in malicious ways. Adam Driver portrays the villainous Kylo Ren, a Darth Vader  impersonator who was once a former student of Luke’s and holds the power of the Force. While the First Order represents the dark side of the Force,  the Resistance represents the light side of the Force.
There are more familiar faces in the movie, including Daisy Ridley, who portrays a strong heroine named Rey, who makes her first appearance in the 2015 Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. This movie also introduces John Boyega’s character Finn, an ex-Stormtrooper (which is a soldier who works for the First Order). He escapes his disastrous lifestyle and joins the Resistance. He fights alongside a Commander Pilot named Poe Dameron, played by Oscar Isaac. In The Last Jedi, these three can be seen working together to stop the First Order from wiping out the rest of the Resistance.
However, a new face appears in The Last Jedi, and her role is phenomenal. Kelly Marie Tran portrays Rose Tico, an unnoticed person who works in the mechanical field for the Resistance. She fights alongside Finn, in honor of her sister who passed away in the beginning of the movie, and restores justice to those who are most worthy of it. One of the important things about Rose Tico is the representation of her community. Tran is the first Asian-American to be cast in a Star Wars movie, and this representation means a lot for the Asian community.
The Last Jedi is definitely a must-see movie for so many reasons, starting with the phenomenal cast, who portray their characters with vibrancy and clear purpose. The heartfelt monologues and plot twists keep the audience on the edge of their seats, and it leaves an open thought for the end. Will there be another Star Wars movie? Who knows. For now, there haven’t  been any announcements on continuing the franchise, but there’s always a chance that another one can happen, but all that should be on the agenda is to watch the movie. It truly is an amazing film and deserves all the love it can get. The visuals are absolutely stunning and pleasing to look at, which gives the movie a much better rating visually.
All fans of Star Wars should be looking forward to this film. They will not be disappointed!
