On Friday, January 13 and Saturday, January 14 , Canton High School music students attended the Northern Regional Festival, which was an auditioned event at New Britain High School. The festival was after school on Friday and almost all day on Saturday.
The students prepared for an audition to participate in the festival in November with scales, sight-reading, and a solo.
The students who passed the audition and were accepted into the festival attended several hours of rehearsal over Friday and Saturday, in the group they auditioned for, which culminated in a final concert.
Representing the Chorus were Drew Bidmead, Hollis Griffin, Mark Knebel, Miika Markkanen, Sarah Marze, Sara Melendez, Alexander Simmons, Morgan Vacca, and Dustin Van Kirk.
Cole Glasgow and Elizabeth Raynor represented the Band, and Tigger Kluessendorf represented the Jazz Band
